Three H Furniture on ‘aggressive growth’ path with new CEO

Majority shareholder Chris Binnendyk has "next level" plans for New Liskeard office furniture maker

Three H Furniture, the New Liskeard-based office designer and manufacturer, will have a new presence in its Toronto office.

Company president Roy Dittman announced that majority shareholder Chris Binnendyk is the new CEO, effectively immediately.

Binnendyk spent the last 22 years at Allseating Corporation, most recently as president.

In a Jan. 20 news release, the company said his capabilities include extensive contract office furniture industry experience, a strong business development orientation, and an established ability to lead innovation. Binnendyk is considered an experienced strategist with an understanding of how to build enduring business-to-business brands.

Three H is counting on his leadership and experience in strategic and sales initiatives in taking Three H "into a planned, high-growth phase."

“Chris brings proven executive leadership skills to Three H at a time when the company is poised to move to the next level of growth. On behalf of the board of Three H we couldn’t be more excited to have Chris join our company and to help guide us into our next chapter of success,” said Dittmann in a statement.

Dittmann is the son of Heinz Dittmann, one of three cofounders who started the company in 1973, initially making European-style residential furniture.

Three H has developed a line-up of award-winning product lines in the "laminate casegoods marketplace" and is well known as a  design and price-competitive leader across North America.

“Three H is in an enviable position of having relevant products and high-level, professional distribution in a healthy market category," said Binnendyk in the release.

"The ability to increase sales even during the pandemic is testament to this. The future only looks brighter for Three H. I am looking forward to taking an active role in the executive team as the company commences an aggressive growth plan.

“With our heritage and factory of committed employees firmly rooted in Northern Ontario I see a bright and progressive future together. I am proud to join the Dittmann family in carrying on the tradition of well crafted, quality products supported by one of the best customer service teams in the industry in North America."

Binnendyk holds a bachelor of arts in political science and an MBA from the University of Toronto. He will be based at Three H's Toronto corporate office and showroom.
