Daniel Tisch has been selected as the new president-CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC). The corporate communications and marketing executive will replace Rocco Rossi in January.

“Dan emerged as the clear choice to lead the organization into a future of innovation and growth,” said OCC Board Chair Joaquim Ballès in a news release.

“His track record of successful leadership, combined with his deep industry knowledge and commitment to excellence, make him the ideal candidate to drive the OCC forward.”

Tisch spent 20 years as CEO of Argyle Communications, building the firm into Canada’s largest management-owned communications consulting firm. He later co-founded Believeco Partners, an owner, operator and builder of leading North American communications and marketing agencies. Tisch has also held policy, communications and advisory roles with the federal government , CEOs, boards and government leaders over his 30-year career.

“After 30 years working at the intersection of business and public policy, I’m inspired and excited by the opportunity to lead the Ontario Chamber of Commerce – a powerful network committed to farsighted public policy, smart and ethical business, and inclusive, sustainable prosperity,” said Tisch.

Rossi will stay aboard over the next couple of months to assist Tisch through the transition period.

“When I step down in January 2024, I do so with the knowledge that the OCC is in capable hands, and I look forward to seeing the incredible achievements that lie ahead under Dan’s stewardship,” said Rossi.

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce represents a network of 60,000 members as an independent non-profit advocacy organization for business.
