Mustang approves drill program (01/04)

Mustang Minerals may have only scratched the surface of the potential to be found at its recently acquired Bannockburn property.

Mustang Minerals may have only scratched the surface of the potential to be found at its recently acquired Bannockburn property.

In October the company did some trenching on the property, located about 100 kilometres south of Timmins, and discovered sulphides, which are typically associated with nickel close to the surface.

“This is a zone that is 150 metres long by eight metres wide at the side of a hill,” says Mustang Minerals vice-president Ken Lapierre. “Both ends go down into swamp, which could mean an opportunity for more nickel discovery.”

The company is also in the process of finalizing about $8 million in financing, which includes more than $3 million in flow-through financing for a 20,000-metre drill program on the core property and surrounding claims over the next year.

The program is expected to start in January.
