A matchmaking event focused on mining and forestry supply companies is in the planning stages, slated to take place Oct. 29 to 31 in Rouyn-Noranda, Que. The program is being delivered out of the Province of Quebec through federal and provincial government partnerships, while the search for an Ontario organization to supply funding is underway. The event is intended to match Northern Ontario and Quebec companies in exporting initiatives. Organizers of the event have invited 100 companies from 10 different countries to participate. Translation services will be available at the event. The event targets small- to medium-sized companies with an interest in exporting, and companies who are interested in attending will be screened for growth potential, prior to being invited to attend. Organizers expect further details on the event will be announced in April.
