Can Tera Mining Ltd., a privately owned junior mining company from Perth, Ont., plans to mine and mill more than 400,000 tonnes of ore in five years from the former Pickle Crow Mine site near Pickle Lake. An official with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines says Can Tera may be opening the door to a new era of profitable gold mining to numerous small high-grade deposits in northwestern Ontario. From 1935 to 1966 the Pickle Crow mine produced 1.45 million ounces of gold.
