The Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network will host its annual convention and innovation showcase this fall in Toronto.

Sudbury-based MICA is a national, multidisciplinary group of stakeholders working to speed up the commercialization of new products that address mining's most persistent problems.

Launched in 2021, MICA is led by the Centre for Excellence of Mining Innovation in Sudbury.

This marks the second year for the conference, which will be held Nov. 14-15, 2023 at Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown.

Day one of the event will cover topics including environment, social and corporate governance (ESG); decarbonization; social impact; environmental progress; and innovative tailings solutions. Day two will focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics.

In addition to keynotes and interactive sessions, participants will have opportunities for breakout sessions and networking opportunities.

There will also be presentations from MICA project funding recipients, which were announced in June.

Registration for the event is now open.
