The company celebrated the opening on June 8.
IRegained is the developer behind the MyHand System, a device that helps stroke patients recover function in their hands.
First conceptualized around 2013, MyHand has patients complete targetted, repetitive tasks aimed at stimulating new pathways in the brain.
The device can be programmed to administer increasingly challenging tasks as progress is made to help patients regain hand function and their independence.
It can be used at home or in a clinical setting.
Along its path to commercialization, IRegained has raised more than $1.5 million in development capital and has established a number of strategic partnerships.
The company has also earned a number of accolades, including the Innovation Award from the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce (May 2022), a Startup Terrace Award from InnoVEX (May 2022), and it was named a finalist at the 2021 CISCO Global Problem Solver Challenge (July 2021).
