Bennett Environmental, proponents of a contaminated-soil recycling plant proposed for Kirkland Lake, intends to challenge a consultant's report stating the facility would pose an unacceptable risk to the environment, if only they can get a copy.

Beak Management Consulting, hired by the Timiskaming Federation of Agriculture to assess the plant proposal and the province's environmental assessment process, has released only a two-page summary report during an Aug. 8 news conference in Toronto.

Bennett wants full disclosure of the Beak report to respond to public statements, but the Timiskaming Federation of Agriculture has not yet made a decision on the matter.
