Indian Affairs and Northern Development Minister Robert Nault has appointed a special representative for northern economic development.
Frank Beardy, chief of the Muskrat Dam First Nation and former grand chief of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation, will be involved in the development of new all-weather roads and electrical grid service to First Nation communities. Beardy will act as a liaison between the federal government and First Nation communities.
