Former EACOM executive Rick Doman is the new CEO of GreenFirst Forest Products, replacing Larry Swets Jr.

A veteran forest industry, Doman has more than 45 years in the forestry and lumber industry, including with Doman Industries, currently named Western Forest Products.

A June 28 company news release called these changes to be in the "best interests of the company" as GreenFirst transitions to a lumber and forestry company and moves toward the finalizing its new mill acquisitions in northeastern Ontario previously owned by Rayonier Advanced Materials.

Paul Rivett is replacing Kyle Cerminara as chairman of the board. The company said both Swets, Jr. and Kyle Cerminara will remain on the board.

A release from the Vancouver company said Doman founded EACOM where he served as the CEO and president. He has been a director of GreenFirst since October 2020.

Rivett is the co-owner of Nordstar Capital, which recently acquired Torstar Corporation. Rivett is the chairman and co-proprietor of Torstar Corporation. Rivett was president of Fairfax Financial Holdings and Chief Operating Officer of Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel.
