The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce will host a pair of well-known speakers for lunchtime presentations in September.

Frank McKenna, the deputy chair of wholesale banking at TD Bank Group, will speak on Sept. 16 as part of the chamber's ongoing President's Series.

Stephen Lecce, Ontario's minister of energy and mines, will speak during the chamber's annual general meeting on Sept. 24.

McKenna, a former New Brunswick premier who also served as Canada's Ambassador to the U.S., will speak about ‘Global Perspectives and Economic Outlook.’

His presentation will take place at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Sudbury, starting at 11:15 a.m.

Lecce, who was in Sudbury earlier this year to promote the province's Protect Ontario By Unleashing Our Economy Act, will speak about “his mission to position Ontario as an energy superpower, by expanding electricity generation — anchored by nuclear power — along with transmission and storage.”

That event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Caruso Club in Sudbury's West End.

Registration for each event is now available.
