A worker with Finnway General Contractor sustained fatal injuries in Thunder Bay last week while working with heavy machinery.
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) was notified of the workplace fatality on July 16.
MLTSD inspectors attended the scene. One requirement was issued to the employer.
On July 19, two ministry inspectors and a ministry mechanical engineer returned to the workplace to continue the investigation. Two orders were issued to the employer.
A ministry spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing and any information in orders and requirements is not available.
