S.&T. Group, a Sault Ste. Marie multi-trades contracting firm, has acquired Ramco Electric of Toronto.
The company announced the acquisition on June 20. Ramco provides a range of electrical work in the areas of mechanical wiring, EV charging, and building automation systems throughout Greater Toronto and southern Ontario.
“This strategic initiative will enhance and broaden our service offerings while establishing S.&T. Group’s presence in the southern Ontario region,” S.&T. said in a news release.
“This acquisition not only reinforces the company's commitment to providing top-quality services, but also positions it for future growth and innovation in the industry.”
S.&T. Group was founded in 1984 by Andrew Sarlo and Dennis Tatsciore as an electrical contracting firm. It’s since expanded its services to include mechanical, refrigeration and general contracting divisions.
The company celebrated 35 years in operation in 2019.
Last fall, S.&T. Group was acquired by the Markham company Team Group, a Taylor, MI, company with divisions in Canada, China and Thailand.
Following that, S.&T. acquired Piper Mechanical Systems Inc., a Sudbury HVAC firm, in March.
