Registration is now open for the 2022 Northern Ontario Ag Conference.

Currently in its fourth year, the annual event is hosted by the Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance (NOFIA) and the Rural Agri-Innovation Network (a division of the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre).

Founded in 2014, NOFIA is a New Liskeard-based non-profit advocacy group that aims to advance agricultural research and innovation in Northern Ontario.

Scheduled for Feb. 17, and 18, the event provides an opportunity for producers and researchers to share their research and best practices in agriculture in Northern Ontario.

Though the itinerary is still being finalized, confirmed topics include land clearing, barriers to agriculture in the North, and the use of genomics in agriculture.

The event will be held virtually via Zoom, and attendance is free of charge.
