Results from an Operation Treasure Hunt survey in the Stormy Lake-Dryden area have identified interesting exploration targets for prospectors and industry to follow up on. The survey was conducted by Fugro Airborne Surveys Corp.

City to host National Transportation Day 2002 (12/01)

The Operation Treasure Hunt program has released results of a geological lake sediment survey outlining 20 areas where significant geochemical anomalies occur in the Sioux Lookout-Bamaji Lake region, 300 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.

Voyageur Airways set to expand (12/01)

The workforce at Voyageur Airways, based at the Aerospace Centre in North Bay, is expected to expand to 260 over the next few months as a result of a $1-million expansion.

Call centre training facility established (12/01)

Sault College and Bell Canada officials opened a $325,000-training centre in late November. The centre is located in the downtown Bell building and classes for the seven-week customer service/call centre representative training program began Nov. 26.
