Young professionals seeking award nominees

The Young Professionals Association (YPA) of Sudbury is seeking nominees for its 2011 awards gala to be held this November.

The Young Professionals Association (YPA) of Sudbury is seeking nominees for its 2011 awards gala to be held this November.

Now in its fourth year, the YPA awards gala recognizes individuals and organizations with a demonstrated commitment to the growth and well-being of their community.
Nominees are being sought in three categories: female young professional of the year, male young professional of the year, and best place to work.

Eligible for the awards are professionals between the ages of 20 and 35 who are living or working in Greater Sudbury who have demonstrated a commitment to the city through civic and business involvement.

They should possess values consistent with those of the Young Professionals Association, including “an unwavering responsibility to the community through involvement with local organizations that promote the attraction, retention and integration of young professionals in the city.”

Nominations will be accepted between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm on Friday, October 14. Winners will be announced at the YPA awards gala.

The Young Professionals Association is a not-for-profit organization comprised of 20- to 35-year-olds who are in the workforce or self-employed. Its focus is on developing opportunities for networking, community involvement and development, as well as providing support for young professionals in all industries.
