Four Timmins-area entrepreneurs have received a helping hand from the province to get their new businesses up and running.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing $25,000 to the following:
-D. Poulin Contracting, located in South Porcupine, provides residential construction and renovation services
-Northern Ontario Billing Solutions, located in Timmins, specializes in transactions between Ontario Health Insurance Plan and health care professionals
-Nordic Rentals, located in Kapuskasing, rents construction equipment to contractors and homeowners
-Perfect 10 Nails, located in Timmins, specializes in nail care and enhancement services.
Nordic Rentals is also receiving an additional $125,000 through the NOHFC's Northern Ontario Entrepreneur Program.
Seven new jobs are being created between the four businesses.
