Women of Aboriginal descent are being invited to participate in a one-day workshop on business basics.
Hosted by the Waubetek Business Development Corp. and Sudbury’s Regional Business Centre, Aboriginal Women Business Day will be held Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Holiday Inn in Sudbury.
Workshop topics include understanding business financials, the bidding and procurement process with the government, and using social media to promote your business. The keynote speaker is Joanne Contant, a Métis from North Bay, who has more than 25 years of experience in financial and business experience.
The deadline to register for this event is Feb. 15.
