Air Canada Express introduced Bombardier Q400 service to Greater Sudbury Airport, Nov. 1.

The schedule includes five daily return flights between Toronto and Sudbury. The airline anticipates using the aircraft on three daily trips and using the Dash 8 aircraft at other times of the day.

“We have outfitted the Q400 with state-of-the-art LED lighting and leather seats,” said spokeswoman Lisa Pierce. The aircraft carries 74 passengers and has advanced noise suppression.

A week earlier, Porter Airlines announced it was increasing service between Sudbury and Toronto with a fourth daily roundtrip starting Jan. 16.

Based out of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Porter also flies the Q400
