Pele Mountain Resources reports hitting high-grade gold at its East Highland property, near Wawa.

The company's drill program is aimed its "A Zone" in looking for near surface, mineable gold.

The property is located about 100 kilometres southeast of the Hemlo gold camp near the Island Gold Mine operated by Richmont Mines.

Pele president and CEO Al Shefsky is encouraged by the grades and widths of the gold.

"With excellent drill results, nearby operational milling facilities and outstanding local infrastructure, we believe there is potential for near-term, revenue generating operations at East Highlands."
