Wawa development corp. receives close to $1 million

The Superior East Community Futures Development Corp. is receiving $960,000 from FedNor . The money will be used to provide three years worth of assistance for small and medium-sized businesses providing access to capital and business counselling.

The Superior East Community Futures Development Corp. is receiving $960,000 from FedNor.

The money will be used to provide three years worth of assistance for small and medium-sized businesses providing access to capital and business counselling.

The Wawa-based agency is one of 24 development corporations under the FedNor umbrella in Northern Ontario.

“This investment demonstrates the government's confidence in the work that we do and in the results achieved for the communities and businesses within our service area,” said corporation chairman Luc Levesque.
