Thanks to a $1.3-million commitment from joint-venture partner Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd., Wallbridge Mining Company Limited is resuming drilling on its Parkin Offset Dyke properties in Sudbury.

The 4,900-metre program of drilling and borehole geophysics includes work on the Milnet Mine property, where Wallbridge recently made a platinum-palladium-gold-copper-nickel discovery.

Impala is the world's second-largest primary platinum producer. It has earned a 50-per-cent stake in the project by spending $5 million over three years. The $1.3-million commitment represents the final portion.

Impala can increase its stake to 65 per cent by funding a feasibility study and securing Wallbridge's portion of the development funding through to commercial production on a project loan basis.
