Wallbridge Mining Company Ltd.'s plans for 2011 will focus on advancing key projects in Sudbury, according to a Jan. 20 release.
Focused on exploration for platinum group elements, nickel and copper deposits in the Sudbury mining camp, this junior miner is advancing its Broken Manner Resource. It has completed its environmental and mining permitting to mine and extract 30,000 tonnes of bulk sample beginning at the end of January.
Xstrata Nickel's Strathcona Mill will process the material. This will confirm grades and help establish the economic viability of the deposit.
Encouraging drill results at its Amy Lake PGE Zone led to a new structural model which identified several high-priority drill targets. The Frost Lake joint venture project with Xstrata Nickel will be drilling 2,500 metres at a cost of $750,000.
A 47.5-line kilometre geophysical survey is being completed over the seven-kilometre length of the Sudbury breccia structure that extends across the Frost Lake project and adjacent Skynner Lake property. A joint venture project on the Skynner Lake property with Lonmin Plc has an approved 2011 exploration budget of $1.25 million.
The Parkin Offset Property is being explored through a joint venture with Impala Platinum Holdings Limited, a global PGM producer. Results at the Parkin Offset Property are being reviewed and the next phase of drilling is being planned.
