Wallbridge Mining has appointed Marz Kord as company president, while Alar Soevar will continue as CEO.
“The addition of Marz to our management team is an important step in our growth strategy,” Soevar said in a news release. “Marz's extensive experience in mining operations and his exposure to a large number of mining projects in various stages of development will be invaluable as we explore opportunities for future growth. I look forward to Marz as we grow this company.”
Kord brings to Wallbridge 26 years of experience in the mining industry, including managing a large multidisciplinary team of engineers and operators, as well as extensive experience in developing business growth plans in mergers and acquisitions, the release said.
Wallbridge's current focus is the exploration for platinum group metals, nickel and copper at their Broken Hammer copper-PGE property in Sudbury. The company's joint venture partners include Xstrata Nickel, Lonmin PLC and Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd.
Board chair W. Warren Holmes said the company is moving through a pivotal time of growth, as its Broken Hammer deposit advances through feasibility.
