Scott Lund has been named chairman of the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation.
The vice-president and general manager of MCTV was chosen to succeed Guy Labine at the organization's annual general meeting, June 9.
He will hold the position for a three-year period.
In a statement, Mayor John Rodriguez said Lund is a "fierce advocate" for Sudbury and will be a "tremendous asset"in attracting new business to the city.
Lund also serves as chairman of Science North and serves on the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
