Taranis Contracting Group of Thunder Bay has landed an $11.4 million contract to repave Highway 11/17 west of the city at Kakabecka Falls.
The province is resurfacing a 37-kilometre stretch of road from Kakabecka to the junction of Highways 11 and 17 at Shabaqua Corners.
Work will also involve improving the drainage, ditches and replacing culverts.
