The official tourism guide for the City of Thunder Bay is out and available in both digital and print editions.

The official tourism guide for the City of Thunder Bay is out and available in both digital and print editions.

Thunder Bay Experience Magazine is a free, 88-page annual publication that serves as a comprehensive guide to the four seasons of great events, attractions, accommodations and culinary experiences in and around the northwestern Ontario city.

The guide features stories about the community’s cultural, culinary and natural environment attractions and other information to help visitors explore the city, along with a regional event listing.

“The online and print guide plays a key role in enticing visitors to see more of the city, stay a little longer and return in the future,” said Paul Pepe, the city's tourism manager. “Tourism is a $127-million annual industry for the community and even as little as $10 in additional spending per visitor can expand the tourism economy by $5.2 million annually.”

The guide is available beginning this weekend at the Terry Fox Visitor Information Centre, Thunder Bay International Airport and all major hotels and attractions throughout the city.

The guide is also available online at www.visitthunderbay.com.
