Thunder Bay Port Authority adds Wheat Board exec

A former Canadian Wheat Board executive has been appointed to the board of directors of the Thunder Bay Port Authority.

A former Canadian Wheat Board executive has been appointed to the board of directors of the Thunder Bay Port Authority.

Federal Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities Chuck Strahl announced the appointment of Winnipeg's Greg Arason for a three-year period starting Jan. 1, 2011.

Arason served as president and CEO of the Wheat Board from 2006 to 2008 and from 1998 to 2002. He's held senior positions with Manitoba Pool Elevators and has served on many corporate and industry associations including the Chamber of Maritime Commerce and the Manitoba Rural Leadership Training Committee.
