Premier Gold has tapped a major mining executive to spearhead the development of its projects in Northern Ontario and Nevada.
Paul Andre Huet is the Thunder Bay miner's new chief operating officer.
A graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines, Huet has spent 24 years in the North American mining industry, most recently as general manager in charge of operations at Great Basin Gold in Nevada.
Huet's Ontario history includes supervisory and mining positions with Dynatec Mining and Kinross Gold in Timmins and Red Lake.
Premier president and CEO Ewan Downie said Huet's addition to their management team “sends a clear signal to the marketplace and to our shareholders that we are not slowing down.”
