Three new Canada Research Chairs at Laurentian University

Laurentian University and Industry Minister Tony Clement are celebrating the appointment of three new Canada Research Chairs. Researchers Albrecht Shulte-Hostedde, Zhibin Ye, and Robert Schinke were awarded the positions, according to a Jan.

They will join current chairholders John Gunn and Nancy Young.

The new researchers will conduct research in multicultural sport and physical activity, applied evolutionary ecology and polymer nanomaterials.

These funded positions are part of the federal government's Canada Research Chairs program. Laurentian University is one of 53 Canadian institutions with Canada Research Chairholders in residence.
