There's a gold 'Prodigy' in the northwest

The merger between Kodiak Exploration and Golden Goose Resources has resulted in a name change for the Beardmore gold miner.
The merger between Kodiak Exploration and Golden Goose Resources has resulted in a name change for the Beardmore gold miner.

Prodigy Gold is the new name for company which includes a series of Geraldton gold exploration projects, including Hercules, Milestone and West Geraldton. This year, Prodigy plans to aggressively explore the Beardmore-Geraldton district, expecially its Milestone project, considered a low-grade gold system with big volume. The company said it also plans to drill multiple targets, seeking new areas to add gold resources.

Included in their stable of properties is the Magino Mine, 40 kilometres northeast of Wawa, a past-producing gold property. The company reports new core assays including one drill hole yielding results of 1.02 grams per tonne gold over 169.3 metres.

In a Jan. 5 release, the Vancouver explorer said the new assays, coupled with previous drill data, are being used to plan an extensive campaign of in-fill drilling on the property, expected to begin soon.
