The City of Greater Sudbury is set to host its second francophone comedy television series in the form of Ramville, a show about fans of hockey team in a fictional mill town.
Three seasons of the show will be produced by TFO in partnership with Les Productions R. Charbonneau. The latter also produces the francophone comedy series Météo+, a show about a television weather channel in northeastern Ontario, due to air its fourth and final season this fall.
This new series will create 14 acting jobs and nearly 25 technical and production jobs.
The province is providing $2.2 million to the project through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation's Emerging Technology program.
