Joanne Caouette, owner and operator of Lifestyle Homes Inc., is the new president of the Sudbury & District Home Builders' Association, the voice of the residential construction industry, according to a Jan. 31 press release.
Her business – Lifestyle Homes -- was also recognized as Firm of the Year in recognition of outstanding contributions and continuous support.
Caouette's plans are to recruit new members, increase interaction with all three levels of government and the involvement of the charitable sector, and improve public awareness of the association and services provided.
Other annual awards recognized Paul Corsi, J. Corsi Developments Inc. as Member of the Year. Brian DeMattia, Maple Leaf Masonry Supply Ltd. received the Hall of Fame Award for his active involvement in the SDHBA for at least 10 years. Builder Dave Arnold, Dalron Homes, and non-builder Michael Giles, Convoy Supply Ltd., received the Canadian Home Builders' Association Award of Honour, recognizing their dedication and service to the association at the local level.
The association's membership includes local builders, renovators, suppliers and professionals.
