Flanagan Food Service Inc., located in the Walden Industrial Park in Greater Sudbury, has received money to expand its operation and create 15 new jobs.
The food service distribution company, which disperses frozen food across Northern Ontario, received $1 million from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp.'s (NOHFC) Enterprise North Job Creation program.
The expansion will nearly double the company's freezer capacity, growing from 10,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet, and is the third expansion in two decades. Construction is underway now and is slated for completion in May 2012.
