Collège Boréal in Sudbury is offering a pair of hoisting and rigging courses next week.
Hoisting and Rigging Level 1, being held Sept. 19-20, will teach students how to lift safely in industrial environments such as mining, construction and/or service shops. The course is designed to familiarize students with little to no experience in rigging, hoisting and/or operating cranes and lifting devices.
Hoisting and Rigging Awareness is a one-day course identifies the requirements needed for certification. It will introduce the requirements to those unfamiliar with the procedures, as well as offer a refresher for those already working in industry.
