Sudbury businesses honoured at local awards gala

Sudbury's Laurentian Media was one of the big winners at the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Awards , May 11. The publishers of Northern Ontario Business took home the New Venture Award for the launch of their quarterly Sudbury Living magazine.

The publishers of Northern Ontario Business took home the New Venture Award for the launch of their quarterly Sudbury Living magazine.

Nearly 400 people gathered at the Caruso Club to celebrate 10 of Sudbury's best and brightest entrepreneurs and businesses at the chamber's 2010 Bell Business Excellence Awards.

Laurentian Media also publishes Northern Life, a weekly newspaper.

"This year's nominees have demonstrated a commitment to hard work and innovation," said Debbi Nicholson, Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, in a release.

"They are a testimony of what can be attained when you set a high standard, and I congratulate them for working to strengthen our community."
