Sudbury approved for industrial park

A 44-lot industrial park located in the eastern end of Sudbury has been approved by the city's planning committee.

A 44-lot industrial park located in the eastern end of Sudbury has been approved by the city's planning committee.

The park, proposed by developer Gil Gasparini, is being slated for the Kingsway--a main artery that turns into Highway 17 east--and would comprise 150 acres.

Taxes and job creation, along with further development of the area, have been cited as benefits to the project.

The development has been designed to skirt wetlands in the area, which cover roughly 20 per cent of the property.

Gasparini estimates the project could take a decade to complete.
