Sioux Lookout intends to build a “blueprint for the future.”
The northwestern Ontario municipality is putting together a strategic plan to guide the corporation over the next four years.
A Nov. 26 session between municipal staff and council touched on topics of investment attraction and customer service delivery.
In a Nov. 28 release, CAO Arie Hoogenboom said the session was an opportunity for management to better understand the needs of the community.
A final report will be presented to council in February.
The closure of McKenzie Forest Products in nearby Hudson has been devastating to jobs and the tax base in Sioux Lookout.
