Senior bureaucrat heads forestry association

David Lindsay, a senior deputy minister in the Ontario government, is the new president and CEO of the Forest Products Association of Canada.

Lindsay held portfolios in Energy and Infrastructure; Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, Natural Resources; and Tourism and Culture.

Before that he was head of the Association of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology of Ontario and was founding president of the Ontario SuperBuild Corporation. He served as principal secretary and chief of staff to the premier.

Tembec president and CEO Jim Lopez was “delighted” with Lindsay's appointment.
