Black Loon Millworks International, a Sault Ste. Marie custom wood products manufacturer, is on the receiving end of an $84,000 Northern Ontario Heritage Fund cheque to acquire new equipment.

Sault Ste. Marie MPP David Orazietti made the announcement May 17.

In a statement, Millworks president Fern Moore said the money helps the company increase production by acquiring a new machining centre.

Black Loon makes oak furniture, shuffleboard tops, butcher blocks, maple table tops and other wood products for homes and businesses.
