Visitors from around the world will be in Sault Ste. Marie next fall for a business matchmaking event designed to promote business partnerships.
In November 2013, the Sault will host the Naturallia International Forum, an initiative of Le Réseau dedéveloppement économique et d’employabilité de l’Ontario (RDEE Ontario), which promotes economic development and employability to ensure the vitality and sustainability of Ontario's francophone communities.
The event is being organized by the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation and the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre and is expected to attract 150 participants from Canada and around the world. FedNor provided support for the event.
The forum’s focus will be on renewable energy, mining and value-added wood products. Participants will have an opportunity for one-on-one meetings, and can visit the Experts Village to get information on topics like exporting, innovation and logistics. An International Village will gather delegation and government representatives from each participating country, and participants will make on-site visits to businesses in the related sectors.
The overarching goal of the event is to make it easier for regional, national and international companies to conduct business with one another, creating wealth in the participating communities.
