A new recycling company specializing in scrap metal, old vehicles and tires is being established in Sault Ste. Marie with $48,750 in assistance from the provincial government.
Extreme Recycling will provide the pick-up, sorting and disposal of materials. Provincial funding provided through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) will be used to assist with the cost of purchasing hauling and sorting equipment.
“Funding from the NOHFC will assist me in expanding my business operations and fill a demand in the community for a front-door pick-up and recycling service for private homeowners as well as local businesses,” said Charlene Pegeau, owner and operator of Extreme Recycling.
