St. Marys Paper now has two U.S. firms to jointly market their paper products across North America.

After the Sault Ste. Marie glossy paper maker restarted production in December, the company signed a multi-year agreement with International Forest Products (IFP) as the exclusive marketing representative of the mill.

The Foxborough, Mass firm has now added Bulkley Dunton of New York State to the mix.

Bulkley Dunton is one of the largest North American distributors of magazine, catalog and book publishers.

The agreement covers fibre supply, as well as financial, logistics and sales service support.

IFP president and CEO Daniel Kraft said the relationship with Bulkley Dunton will “accelerate the momentum that has been generated by St. Marys' tremendous restart.”

Bulkley Dunton president George Doehner said forging a relationship with IFP and St. Marys “could ensure a steady supply of the supercalendered specialty paper our magazine, catalog and retail business customers need.”

St. Marys CEO Dennis Bunnell said the joint efforts of the two companies “will ensure our customers can count on St. Marys for the long term and the perseverance of our local community and stakeholders will be rewarded.”
