Soo Mill has donated $50,000 to support Algoma University's Elements Campaign.

The school's campaign is to raise $6 million for scholarships and bursaries, to support fine arts and music education, and for research facilities and activities in the school's new Biosciences and Technology Convergence Centre.

“Soo Mill & Lumber Company has operated in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma district for three generations and nearly 100 years,” said company president Lynn Hollingsworth in a May 4 statement. “It is important for our family to be able to give back to the community and we are pleased to support the Algoma University Essential Elements Campaign.”
