A Sault Ste. Marie company has launched an online application that helps manage waiting lists for parents seeking childcare.

The OneHSN Childcare application, developed by RBB Innovations, is a centralized database of childcare providers within the community. It streamlines the process for placing children on waiting lists when childcare spaces aren’t available. The application has been launched in London, Niagara Region, Thunder Bay and Kingston.

“We at RBB are so thrilled to see municipalities and local school boards adopting our centralized childcare application and waitlist solution,” said Jason Collins, director of corporate development at RBB, in a news release.

“Parents seeking childcare no longer have to spend days or weeks researching childcare options to access the services they need. With OneHSN parents can now learn about and apply to childcare services in their community in one simple step and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete.”

Parents can log in to the system and find a list of childcare providers based on their needs and eligibility.

The software was originally developed by the Sault Ste. Marie Geomatics Centre before being acquired by RBB Innovations in 2010.
