Bob Morin and Rick Lemieux Sr. have been announced as the 2012 inductees into the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Services Association’s (SAMSSA) Hall of Fame.
Morin is the general manager for Mobile Parts Inc. a Sudbury-based company that specializes in servicing mining equipment across the globe. Morin was a major architect of success when the company began to focus growing their market outside of Sudbury.
Lemieux is the former president of Alban-based RDH Mining Equipment and has a 26-year history of success in developing a global company. He is the recent recipient of the 2011 Ontario Global Trader Provincial Gold for Market Expansion award.
The awards will be handed out during SAMSSA’s annual general meeting on Dec. 4 at 8 a.m. at Collège Boréal in Sudbury.
Dominic Giroux, president of Laurentian University, will speak about the university’s newly named Goodman School of Mines and its importance to the mining supply and services industry.
