With Premier Dalton McGuinty on the way out and a prorogued Ontario Legislature in suspended animation, the government was doing some weekend mixing and matching of ministerial responsibilities.
When Kathleen Wynne resigned her Municipal Affairs and Aboriginal Affairs posts for a possible premiership bid, McGuinty heaped more responsibility onto Bob Chiarelli's shoulders. Chiarelli, a minister for both Transportation and Infrastructure has been handed the Municipal Affairs file.
Chris Bentley, who will not run in the next election, remains Energy Minister but gets the Aboriginal Affairs job as well.
On Sunday, Glen Murray, the minister of training, colleges and universities, resigned to officially take a run for the Liberal party leadership at the Jan. 25 convention.
John Milloy takes over while remaining the Minister of Community and Social Services.
