CAW Local 103 announced it has reached a tentative agreement with Ontario Northland Railway on five contracts covering 420 employees.
The union represents clerical, stores, rail and business maintenance, on-board and customer service, and crew management centres.
In a May 20 news release, Local President Brian Kelly said, “Through a difficult round of negotiations, we have been able to preserve previous gains while at the same time provided Ontario Northland with the ability to secure future revenue streams.”
The previous contracts expired last December.
Ratification votes are upcoming in North Bay, Cochrane, Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Englehart, Rouyn and Moosonee.
