Four new small businesses run by young entrepreneurs in the Timiskaming-Cochrane region have seen a helping hand from the provincial government.
Receiving $25,000 apiece from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation to help establish themselves, these businesses are expected to create seven jobs immediately.
Those receiving funding through the program include:
-Frook's Custom Cabinet, a custom cabinet manufacturing business located in Kirkland Lake, catering to commercial and residential markets
-T.J. Fournier Construction, a Verner-based general contracting company focusing on commercial and residential foundation construction
-Ed's Firewood & Exterior Renovations, a firewood supplier providing tree removal and trimming services in the Timmins area -Tanie's Tots, a licensed child daycare facility in Iroquois Falls
