Porter Airlines has surpassed its best load factor for July in the company's history. The company recorded a load factor—the ratio of an aircraft's lift to its weight—of 66.8 per cent for the money of July, a 4.

The company recorded a load factor—the ratio of an aircraft's lift to its weight—of 66.8 per cent for the money of July, a 4.8-point increase from the same period in 2010.

“The second half of 2011 is picking up where hte first half began with record numbers,” Porter president and CEO Robert Deluce said in a news release. “This reflects strong performance in all 16 Porter markets in Canada and the U.S.”

In the North, Porter operates flights out of Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury.
